Gratitude List 10/06/2019
After yesterday’s Race For Life, I wish my mum was still with us, but today I am grateful my dad, sisters and brother are. I’m also grateful that my mum’s spirit is too.
I wish I wasn’t so tired and didn’t have to go to work, but today I am grateful to have a job to go to. So many do not, it can be very tough out there.
I wish I hadn’t had that breakfast, but today I am grateful for my awareness, my desire and the tools I have to help. I also know it could’ve and has been much worse.
I wish I didn’t have to listen to my girlfriend moan, but today I am grateful I understand this is her way to share how she is doing and how she is feeling. This is her meeting.
I wish I had more money so I can pay back the money I owe, but today I am grateful I have a plan which so far is going well. It is all I can do and I accept it.
I wish a certain personal situation was different, but today I am grateful I have a greater power that gave me the courage to do all the things I could and the serenity to accept the things I cannot.
I wish I didn’t have to sit next to my mad colleague at work! But today I am grateful for his happiness, enthusiasm and utter joy he brings to my day – if I look for his good points!
I wish I had worn a coat more suitable to today’s beautiful English weather, but today I am grateful for the coat I have, the shelter I find myself in, and the hot shower I can have later.
I wish a few people I know are unwell were better, but today I am grateful for all the doctors, nurses, health services, surgeons, scientists, researchers, chemist’s etc will do their best to help.
Today I am grateful I am genuinely finding it difficult to find things I wish would be different. Just trying to get across a point.
