Gratitude List 04/02/2018 (World Cancer Day)
To those who have created them. The initial inspiration and dedication has come from somewhere.
To those who help run and organise events for them.
To those who give up their time to volunteer.
To those who support them with donations.
To those who support them by buying from their shops.
To those who raise money by participating in events.
To those who come up with weird and wonderful ways of raising money.
To those who put the money to good use. Those who conduct valuable research or implement the goals of the respective charities.
To those who wake up everyday wanting to make a difference.

A deep gratitude to the many things that make me happy. A smile is a symptom of happiness. Nothing is more contagious than a smile, happiness can breed happiness. Pay it forward everyone.
Gratitude List 02/02/2018
The courage to accept I sometimes need help and support. I used to view this as a sign of weakness.
That I have learnt to let go of my great expectations of others.
The honest, humble acceptance of who I am and what I need to do to maintain my happiness.
My growing confidence and self esteem.
That I am currently physically well.
That my current spiritual well-being has never been better.
My open-mindedness to be willing.
My willingness to be open-minded.
That I am comfortable to get on my knees and pray or sit on a park bench and meditate. (a year ago I would have laughed at the mere thought!)
The hope I have for the future.
Gratitude List 01/02/2018
For dropping off and picking up my children from school. A favourite part of the day.
To both my parents who I remember doing the same for me. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I do.
Reading to my daughter at bed time. Next up – Prisoner of Azkaban!
The shared interests I have with my teenage son and the fact he’s still happy to be seen in public with me!
My girlfriend’s tolerance, understanding, willingness, open-mindedness, support, care and love.
The fact that my amazing girlfriend is looking after my amazing children while I work. Amazing!
My amazing family. We are all very close. And close-by too. Countless great memories.
The text message I received from my dad and the ‘x’ at the end. When I think about it, this means a lot.
The belief that my mum is looking down with some pride. It hasn’t always been the case.

Our home. Not only in the physical sense. It feels like home too.
That I share it with the people I love the most.
The table and chairs which bring us together at mealtimes. Stories are shared. Bonds are strengthened.
The easily taken for granted feelings of comfort and security.
Having heat, water and light readily available at the flick of a switch or turn of a tap.
The roof over my head. The carpet under my feet.
Plentiful food in the fridge, freezer and cupboards.
A sofa to rest my feet. A bed to rest my head. A bath to rest my mind.
A home which is home to many fond memories.
Gratitude List 30/01/2018
That my worries are ‘nothing to worry about’.
My improved self-esteem
That I am currently in no pain.
My appreciation of beauty and the simple fact I now acknowledge it in the first place.
Although I often have to remind myself, I am grateful for every single bite of food and every single sip of water.
That no matter what, it can always be worse.
For my sanity.
Criticism, experiences, mistakes, failures and challenges. Respectively I can learn from them all.
The time I get to spend with the people I love and have fun with.
For everyone who has shown me tolerance, consideration and understanding.
Gratitude List 29/01/2018
That I woke up.
My eyes to see.
My ears to hear.
My mouth to speak.
My back to stand.
My legs to walk.
My hands to touch.
My lungs to breathe.
My heart to love.
My brain to learn.
