Gratitude List 01/05/2019
Sometimes things don’t go to plan. It would be easy for me to think ‘Why bother? What’s the point?’
Today I am grateful I don’t think like that at all. Instead I feel the importance of the program more than ever before.
Today I am grateful I still have faith and I will still get on my knees and pray.
Today I am grateful I still feel humble and want guidance and strength from a power greater than I. I will still sit silently, meditate and listen.
Today I am grateful I still see the importance of Unity and I will still reach out and connect with other fellows.
Today I am grateful I still feel supported (not alone) and I will still call my sponsor to get things off my chest.
Today I am grateful I still want to feel inspired and motivated and I will still read some recovery based literature.
Today I am grateful I still desire spiritual growth and I will still practice honesty when I do my inventory this evening.
Today I am grateful I still have gratitude and I will still complete this list.
Gratitude List 16/03/2019
Today I have started the day on the right foot. One positive thing has led to another and it’s no surprise that I continued to step in the right direction. So far, today is a good day.
Today I am grateful to wake up and say my prayers.
Today I am grateful for the reflection of the day.
Today I am grateful for connecting with my sponsor.
Today I am grateful for being honest.
Today I am grateful for the healthy breakfast.
Today I am grateful I did some things I had procrastinated.
Today I am grateful I went to the gym.
Today I am grateful I am doing this list.
Each action has fed in to the next. After this list I will meditate. After that, some more connection with family, friends and fellows. At the same time I am growing spiritually either through improving my conscious contact with God or through the practicing of spiritual principles.
Gratitude List 11/03/2019
‘These boots are made for walking’…… and these hands are made for feeling.
Today my list reflects on my hands. Not the general use of my hands (although I am deeply grateful) but for the connection I feel.
Today I am grateful for prayer and meditation. When I place my hands together it’s like I’ve dialled in and connected to my greater power. My hands are my gateway to God.
Today I am grateful for holding hands at the end of a meeting. This connection is filled with unity and strength. Whilst united I can draw on this power and play my part in giving back to the flow of incredible energy.
Today I am grateful for holding the hands of my girlfriend and daughter. Through this I can express love more than I ever can with words. Actions speak louder than words.
Today I am grateful for feeling the wind blow through my fingers, the cold biting, the sun warming and the water running. Ever reminding me of nature and the big wide world around me.
Today I am grateful for the warmth and pulse I can feel within my hands. I can sense the activity of life flowing through them. What a power! I sometimes feel like I could lift an X-Wing out of a swamp in the Degobah system.
Today I am grateful for the cleansing feeling from…. yes…. cleaning my hands! It’s like I’m washing away the rubbish, refreshing them and replenishing their power.
Today I am grateful for the simple gestures of sincere support a hug or a simple hand on a shoulder can give to someone in need.
Today I am grateful for feeling my mum’s hand on my shoulder in times when I am in need. A beautiful feeling of love and support.
